Discover the most unspoilt region of Poland, and lowland Europe, hiking forests and wild meadows, kayaking meandring clean rivers, and lead a contemplative life from numerous view points. Itinerary is recomended for individual visitors interesting in nature, culture and cuisine. The Northeast of Poland contains one of the very last almost completely unspoilt European habitats. In this wild and relatively undiscovered corner of Europe, are located three magnificent National Parks that still contain a huge variety of endangered species living in their natural wetland habitat. This region is also famoust from the local traditional cuisine. You will have a chance to try polish, bielarusian, jewish and tatar dishes. This unusual and exciting wildlife encounter takes us into the marshes, meandring rivers and swamp forests of Biebrza, Narew, Bialowieza National Parks and Knyszyn Lanscape Park. Here, amid the meandering lowland rivers, flooded wild meadows and the best-preserved fragment of ancient lowland forest anywhere in Europe, can be found European bison, wolves, lynx, elk, deer, wild boar, beavers and an incredible array of birds. Our guide is an English-speaking biologist, writer who has studied this area extensively for over 20 years and will provide a highly informed insight into the fauna flora and history of the region. Using a variety of watercraft and travelling on foot will allow us to get incredibly close to the wildlife. We also meet here border of Europe and Asia in local culture, religion, cuisine. Day-by-Day ItineraryDay 1Arrive at Warsaw airport or Bialystok train station, and transfer to Laskowiec - village located in the southern basin of Biebrza National Park. Welcome dinner and introduction, before a short hike into the Biebrza wetlands. Two overnights in Laskowiec pension. Rooms with private bathrooms.Day 2Hike into the heart of Lawki Fen from to Barwik observation tower( 4 km one way). We have your first eye-to-eye with elk and nemerous birds. Lunch at the King of Biebrza local open-air museum with the biggest collection of folk wooden art. On the way four view poins. Dinner by the campfire at Laskowiec. Local dishes- bigos, kielbasa, pierogi.Day 3Half-day kayak trip from Goniadz to Bialy Grad ( 3.5-4.5 hours) to along the meanders of the Biebrza river. Black stork as well as grey heron, grus , swans and numerous ducks will be observed. Also a chance to see beavers and otters. Transfer to Wojnowo in Mazurian Lake Didtrict. Small village located on the bank of Krutyn river, one of the most famoust polish rivers for kayaking. Water is so clean tahat we will watch fresh water sponges. visit to he XVIII century orthodox monastyr. Local mazurian dishes. Overnight in the guest house in WojnowoDay 4Half day kayak tour on Krutyn river( 3-4 hours). Unspoilt fresh water ecosystem with brown, green and white spongies, numerous fish just at hand. ducks, swens, merganser. Visit to the small power station on the river, former XIX cent. water mill. Lunch in the fish restaurant. Transfer to Tykocin. Dinner in jewish restaurant.Day 5Tykocin, a beautiful baroque jewish city with a seventeenth-century synagogue . Seventheen - century synagogue( the second in Poland after Krakow, typical baroque market with unique monument, XVII cent baroque church, European White Stork Village, typical polish wooden menor house with 31 white strork nests. Transfer to Narew National Park- Polish Amazon. One of three anastazmosic rivers all over the World. Other two are Okawango and Missisipi. Kayak ride on the Narew River. Watch tower. Exploring wetlands. Transfer to Bialowieza. Short stop in Bialystok- capital of the region. visit to the biggest monument of history in the region - Branicki Palace with the beautifull, jusr restored park. Transfer to Bialowieza. Dinner in Bialowieza.Day 6Exploring Bialowieza National Park( 3-4 hours) is the last primeval lowland forest in Central Europe, and more than 250 species of bird, together with most European mammals and amphibians have been recorded here. In particular there are over 450 free roaming bison, as well as wolves and lynxes. Accommodation in a pension Jaskolka in famoust Bialowieza village- five religions, four scientific institues, 2000 inhabitants.Day 6Sunrise walk to go bison watching( 3 hours). After breakfast, walk to a bog forest flooded by beavers, before exploring a megalithic monument in the heart of the forest( 2 hours) and the interesting wooden architecture of the local houses. Dinner by the camp fire in the guest house- mashroom soup, bigos, kielbasa. Short evening hike - eye to eye with owls and bats.Day 7After breakfast two- three hours kayak tour on Suprasl river, meandring across old natural forest and wild meadows. Visit to orthodox monastyr, Muzeum of the Park, wooden houses from XVII - XVIX cent, Palace of Bucholz. Transfer to Kruszyniany - tatar village. visit to XVII cent muslim musk, tatar cemantary. Lunch in tatar restaurant.
